🐟 Fishing on the Miranda River

  • 🌊The Miranda River is one of the most fish-rich rivers in Brazil, in a traditional fishing region of the Pantanal.
  • 🐠Species: dourado, jaú, pintado, surubim, pacu and piranha.
  • 📅Season: fishing is open from March to October. Higher rivers in March and April; lower rivers in June and July, which favor bottom fish; pacu strikes in August and September.

🎒 Extras and tips

  • 💵Extras (average values, per boat): bait from R$ 25 to R$ 80 per dozen (10 to 12 dozen per day), 25 to 35 liters of gasoline per day at R$ 10.80 per liter, ice at R$ 30 per bar. Values subject to change.
  • 🧳Packing tip: long clothing, hat, insect repellent and sunscreen. In the rainy season, bring a waterproof jacket.
